Vintage find !!! Sewing and Vintage are a perfect combination.

There is something very satisfying about finding a vintage, wooden cotton reel. So when I found six of them and a vintage metal thimble I was a very, very happy chuck!

Welcome to Arnold’s Attic

The blog of Lancashire Lass, Catherine Hill.

Catherine is a multi-award-winning contemporary textile artist based in the UK.  Her artistic vision is drawn from her childhood memories growing up in the English county of Lancashire in the 1970’s.Her red hand embroidered textile art has been exhibited across the UK, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Ukraine, Brazil, Bulgaria and Australia.

Catherine is a film maker. Search Google ‘YouTube Arnolds Attic’ and discover the wonderful work of other textile artists.

Arnold’s Attic is named after a vintage textile collection she was gifted by an old family friend called Arnold. His family had worked in the Lancashire textile mills for generations. The collection had been stored in his attic.
