Hand Darning Workshops - Sampler 2
Hand Darning Sampler 2

The act of repairing worn or damaged cloth often involves the traditional technique of darning. In this workshop, I’ll share some of my darning samplers and guide you through a variety of hand‑stitched methods, celebrating the textures and patterns that can be created with just a simple needle and thread.
On a piece of plain cloth, you will create a small sampler to explore a variety of darning techniques, which you can continue to develop at home.

One day workshop dates – 31st May 2026, 12th July 2026 – run from 10am to 4pm with a break for lunch, and take place at the Shavington-cum-Gresty Village Hall, Main Rd, Shavington, Crewe CW2 5DP.
Parking is available at the rear of the hall. More travel information for train and road are available on the bookings page.
