Prism Textiles

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been accepted as a member of the very prestigious Prism Textiles Group. I’ve visited the exhibitions for many years and always aspired to be a member.

As part of my Prism application I submitted several artworks including Summer 2022.

“Prism are an international exhibiting group of textile artists, working together to dispel the common preconceptions surrounding textiles, and embracing both the contemporary approach and the rich traditions of cloth and stitch. The annual exhibition showcases the textile artwork of its members through selected curation to achieve this goal. ” Prism.

Each year the group holds an exhibition at Mile End Pavilion, London and I’m looking forward to taking part in the 2024 Edgelands exhibition.

Sabine Kaner – Meet the Artist

A little textile inspiration from my YouTube Textile Collection. Today it features textile art by artist Sabine Kaner.

Sabine has a stash of old knitted garments and wool yarn, that she uses as the base for her textile art. The garments are discarded family jumpers or sourced from charity shops.

She uses her own life experiences to create her work. Each piece tells a story.

Linda Izan – Meet the Artist

A little textile inspiration from my YouTube Textile Collection. Today it features textile art by artist Linda Izan.

Linda is a conceptual visual artist. Her work involves many techniques including digital art, photography & embroidery. Linda uses photograms & Photoshop to design her unique cloth. Each piece is then embellished with layers of applique, hand & machine embroidery. Linda explains her design concepts and shares her beautiful work with us.
