I can’t quite believe The Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey was only last month. Whilst I was there, I heard out about another event a little closer to home – the Childwickbury Arts Fair in Hertfordshire. It sounded like another Art in Action, so I had to check it out.
The Art Fair is held in the beautiful grounds of Childwickbury Manor estate which is owned by the artist Christiane Kubrick .
The stable block, courtyard and surrounding grounds are beautiful to visit and also provide a brilliant venue for the fair. The quality of the art on display is extremely high, furthermore, each artist has a ‘work space’ on their stand to demonstrate their craft – ceramics, textiles, paint, sculpture, jewellery and printmaking. My holiday to Devon and The Contemporary Craft Festival
in Bovey Tracey is starting to become one of the ‘must have’ annual events in my calendar.

exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery
so I just had to take a look.
Kaffe Fassett’s 2014 exhibition
at the American Museum In Bath
had totally blown me away. His volume of colour and pattern had been truly deafening.
In Bath, Kaffe has collaborated with Candace Bahouth
to create an exciting new exhibition. It incorporates many of his textiles and Candace’s beautiful, tactile, mosaic structures along side each other. Each piece works in perfect harmony with one another.
